Process: from the call to the payout

Five steps from the call to the settlement. You only need to do the first one yourself.

1

Hire an independent vehicle expert

If the accident was not your fault, you choose the expert yourself. Suggestions from the repair shop or the insurer are only suggestions, not requirements.

2

On-site inspection

We come to where the car is. For a typical damage case, the inspection takes 30 to 45 minutes.

3

Write the report

Usually on the day after the inspection. If it takes longer, we tell you in advance.

4

Delivery and questions

We send the report to everyone involved. We remain your contact person for technical questions.

5

Repair or payout

We explain the technical settlement options. Then you decide which one to take.

Costs

Who pays for the report

That depends on how the damage happened.

1 Accident that was not your fault

We bill the other party's insurer directly. You do not receive an invoice from us.

2 Claim under your own vehicle insurance or damage you caused yourself

For claims under your own vehicle insurance (Kaskoschaden) and for damage you caused yourself, we bill you directly and tell you the price beforehand.

3 Valuation report

We also bill you directly for a valuation report and tell you the price beforehand.

Frequently asked questions about the service area

Process

Do you also come to places that have no local page?

Yes. The ten local pages cover the cities that send us the most requests. They are not a limit of our service area. We drive to the whole Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, plus Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz and Bamberg. Call us and we tell you by phone whether and when we come.

How fast can I get an inspection appointment?

Usually within one to two business days, and on the same day in urgent cases. It depends on where the car is and whether it may still be moved. The finished report is usually ready within 24 hours after that.

Do I have to bring my car to you?

No. We come to where the car is: your home, your workplace, the repair shop, the towing service or the accident scene. We only invite you to our hall in Erlangen-Frauenaurach if damage must be judged from below or in even light.

Costs

Does the trip to my car cost extra?

The trip is part of creating the report and is not billed separately. For an accident that was not your fault, the other party's liability insurance pays the expert costs as part of the compensation for damages. For claims under your own vehicle insurance, we tell you the price beforehand and bill you directly. We do the same for damage you caused yourself and for valuation reports.

Process

How long does an on-site inspection take?

An inspection usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. It can take longer for extensive damage, if structural damage is suspected, or if prior damage must be distinguished from new damage. We tell you on site, so you can plan.

Can I hire you for several company vehicles?

Yes. We inspect fleets and several vehicles at one location in one appointment. This happens most often in Herzogenaurach, Erlangen and Nuremberg. Please contact us briefly beforehand, so we can plan enough time.

Direct line to the expert: not sure if we can come to you?

You reach the vehicle expert directly. There is no call center. Your free initial assessment costs nothing and does not obligate you to anything.
